Sonkran in Thailand March 2011

Sonkran is the festival of water - it celebrates the lunar new year in South East Asian culture.

During this time - which lasts anything up to 10 days in different regions, there is ongoing dousing with water.  We got soaked!!

Here are some images ... enjoy :-)  They have no regard for cameras mobile phones, your best attire, so be prepared to get soaked!

  1. It looks to be a awesome festival where you can have your life's best enjoyable moments. Just wondering where to stay if i ll come to attend this festival, thinking of krabi because there are some good krabi hotels, so it will be much betetr for me to stay in the province Krabi to enjoy this festival.
