Saigon - Amazed to spend time there on a budget - you can too!

Saigon ... renamed from Ho Chi Minh City - a short walk out of the town centre and I was in relative serenity, beautiful lush green parks and a temple on every street corner.  There were many French Colonial style buildings as well, which got me wondering what life must have been like all those years ago.

I hope you like the pictures as much as I do ... enjoy :-)

Would You Like to See Traditional Khymer Dancers?

When I was travelling on a budget in Siem Reap recently, I was delighted to find that the traditional Khymer dancers are still performing regularly for the pleasure of visitors to the region.  With so much heart breaking history in Cambodia, this is one attraction I would highly recommend to you when you go there.

Enjoy :-)

Travelling through the islands in Halong Bay, Vietnam... on a budget

You will be pleased to see that I have been going through my amazing images from recent trips and came across the fabulous images of Halong Bay - cruising amongst 19,000 linestone islands, the scenery was breathtaking and so peaceful.

This is a real 'must do' when you travel to Vietnam.

Enjoy :-)

Sonkran in Thailand March 2011

Sonkran is the festival of water - it celebrates the lunar new year in South East Asian culture.

During this time - which lasts anything up to 10 days in different regions, there is ongoing dousing with water.  We got soaked!!

Here are some images ... enjoy :-)  They have no regard for cameras mobile phones, your best attire, so be prepared to get soaked!

Do You Ever Dream of Rain?

This morning I woke up to blue skies ... nothing new about that where I live!

In Dubai, the sun shines pretty much every day.  Never thought I would get fed up of the sun shining... some days I really have to imagine the rain.

So, just in case you are wondering how I can love the rain ... here are some pictures I took in Singapore - where it Sing a 'poured' down!  LOL.

Enjoy :-)
